  • Type 1: Platform Migration to Odoo — Moving from QuickBooks, Tally, Sage, Zoho Books, SAP Business One, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle EBS, or a legacy system to Odoo for the first time. Historical data, open transactions, and master records migrate into the new system.
  • Type 2: Odoo Version Upgrade — Moving from an older Odoo version to a current supported release. It is the most technically demanding phase of any Odoo migration project.

Small platform migrations with clean data typically take 4 to 6 weeks. Mid-market migrations with integrations and customization take 8 to 16 weeks. Odoo version upgrades without custom modules take 3 to 5 weeks. Version upgrades with custom modules take 6 to 14 weeks. Complex multi-entity migrations take 12 to 24 weeks or more.

Small platform migrations start at $8,000 to $25,000. Mid-market migrations range from $25,000 to $75,000. Version upgrades without custom modules start at $5,000 to $15,000. Complex enterprise migrations range from $50,000 to $150,000 or more. Final cost depends on data volume, customization, integrations, and source system complexity.

Odoo 18 and 19 are currently supported. Odoo 17 is supported until October 2026. Odoo 16 reached end of life in October 2025. Odoo 15 and earlier are end of life. Businesses on Odoo 15 whose contracts renewed after July 4, 2025 are paying a 25 percent annual surcharge. Businesses on Odoo 14 or earlier are running without security patches.
